As part of our ongoing commitment to supporting student well-being during the summer months, the Morongo Unified School District is pleased to offer the Summer Meals Program in partnership with the USDA and the National School Lunch Program.
All children ages 0–18 are invited to participate. The program provides nutritious meals throughout the summer at no cost to parents or guardians, with no paperwork required.
Program Options
Daily Meals
Families are welcome to visit participating sites each day for breakfast and lunch service.
Weekly Meal Pick-Up
Families whose children are not enrolled in a summer program where meals are already provided may participate in the weekly meal pick-up option. Meals for the entire week may be collected and taken home.
Families may participate by:
Completing the online form each week to indicate meal preferences, or
Simply visiting a participating pick-up site.

The program officially kicks off June 9, 2026, with a free Summer Meal Program Kickoff event at Luckie Park Rotary Shelter in Twentynine Palms from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Families can enjoy a free BBQ lunch along with games, raffles, community booths, and free resources. The event is open to all and sponsored by MUSD and the City of Twentynine Palms.
